PCSX2 is PS2 emulator for PC and Mac, it has come a long way, and it's getting better in emulating the best console (in its time) games.
The latest PCSX2 as of this writing is PCSX2 0.9.8, don't worry Ubuntu users are not left behind, PCSX2 team provides PPA for our download and install delight.
Go to Gregory Hainaut's PPA to check the details and add the PCSX2 PPA to your repository.

Just upgraded my Ubuntu 10.04 kernel from 2.6.32 to 2.6.38, and the first thing I notice it doesn't support thermal monitoring on my HP 540 laptop. A minor annoyance maybe, but I like to have my laptop temperature monitored. Since it can be very hot sometimes when running application with Wine.
But I''ll let it pass for now, while hopefully found more advantages using this kernel. If not I'll go back to 2.6.32.

Last week I upgraded to the latest Firefox 5 and stumble on this error message :
"E: /var/cache/apt/archives/ubufox_0.9.1-0ubuntu0.10.04.1~mfn3_all.deb: trying to overwrite '/etc/xul-ext/ubufox.js', which is also in package xul-ext-ubufox 0".
And here's how to fix it :
- Open synaptic package manager
- mark xul-ext-ubufox for removal
- mark ubufox for upgrade,
- apply
- then try installing Firefox 5 again
