Emptying trash can is never a fun chore, at home and on Ubuntu. But at least it is simpler now in Ubuntu with Trashindicator.

Trashindicator is a trash in the indicator area, authored by Michael J. The indicator will show how much files you have there and an option to clean it. Less clicks more information, that's the way we like it.
