Just a quick post for Amibroker users on Wine out there, the most compatible Wine version for Amibroker is the 1.1.33.
I already tested it until 1.1.38 and they're all have error with Amiquote.
This error makes Amiquote thinks that Amibroker is not (properly) installed and no ticker listed so you won't be able to update the database, and what's a Technical Analysis without updated database?
So stick with Wine 1.1.33 for now.

But what if your other Win-apps need the latest Wine or different versions? Install PlayOnLinux, you can have multiple versions of Wine to handle many applications that might need different Wine versions.

Have you filed a bug report on the Wine website? It would hugely help those guys find the reason of the regression. If you did a regression test with git bisect, it would be even more helpful. If you're interested, here's a link how to do it - http://wiki.winehq.org/RegressionTesting
