Installation steps :

• Download
• go to System Settings -> Appearance -> Splash Screen
• Install Theme File, point it to the downloaded file
• it will appear on the list of available splash screen themes,
• choose and apply, or you can preview it by clicking Test Theme menu.

Splash screen is one of the first things that appears on monitor, so installing a good one might be a good move to introduce Kubuntu to new users or just to make someone sits beside you envious.
