Good news for Kubuntu users or those who want to try new things, the new and shiny KDE 4.3 is already knocking on your door. If you can wait, it will come as default desktop environment in Kubuntu 9.10. But if you are like me, then you want it now on your current K/Ubuntu.
There's a nice tutorial on how to install KDE 4.3 on Jaunty in softpedia, it's so simple and easy to follow. Now I have KDE 4.3 on Jaunty, nice.
I haven't try all the new shiny things within KDE 4.3 but in general it feels faster and more responsive. One thing for sure, I like how the new Dolphin has folder tree view.
